In 2017, during Hurricane Irma, we evacuated our home. As I hurriedly gathered treasured photos and albums into plastic bags and tried to find a safe place for them, I realized just how vulnerable our family memories were. Thankfully, we returned to find our home intact, but many families affected by natural disasters have not been so fortunate.
I had always been diligent about backing up my digital photos, but that experience made me realize I needed a better plan for all of our memories - printed and digital.
In 2020, I became a Certified Photo Manager through The Photo Managers, an organization that provides ongoing education and professional development for photo organizers. My background in Construction Management, project management and problem-solving turned out to be a natural fit: I love taking something that feels overwhelming, creating a plan and working through it until it is organized and complete.
That is what I now do for my clients. I help turn years of scattered photos and videos into an organized, protected collection - so instead of worrying about the mess, you can finally find your memories, enjoy them and know they are safe.
